So, agility was great fun! Dad took me along with his girls as they were here this weekend (they come over every other weekend). Mum was getting her nails done. The same lady has done her nails for 3 years but she is now moving back to the US as her husband is in the USAF and his posting here is finished. Mum is going to miss her soooo much as she doesn't think she'll ever find anyone who does her nails as well as she did. I don't see the worry, nails are boring!
So anyway, dad and the girls took me to agility on Saturday. There were weaves, a collapsible tunnel, a dog walk a tyre and lots of other cool stuff. I think I did pretty good for a first timer and dad and the girls told mum they were proud of me. The only thing I was a bit worried about was the dog walk. Dad didn't take any treats to lure me (silly dad!), so Tracey who runs the class let me have some of her sausage, yum! After one tentative attempt, the next two times I went hurtling up there. Tracey said I need to work on being more "back leg aware" as I don't take much notice of what they're doing, so mum is going to teach me to walk backwards as apparently that helps. I was OK with all the other equipment, and didn't mind the collapsible tunnel once dad lifted the end up to show me I could go through, just like I can with mt regular tunnel in the garden. We don't have any photos as dad was busy helping me and I'm not sure how the photos would have come out if the girls had been in charge of the camera - probably lots of weird and wonderful shots! We'll get some photos next week.
Yesterday was a lovely sunny day so we decided to combine my walkies with a trip to the park. The girls wanted to take it in turns holding my lead. I was being really good and walking nice and slowly, but then J decided to run and she tripped over and scraped her knee! Mum thought I pulled her over at first and was about to tell me off, but dad saw that I wasn't even moving, she just tripped! To cheer her up I did this:
I stuck my head in the bushes and got these thorny stems tangled up on my head. It made her laugh so it was worth the prickles!
Once we got to the park, dad was busy playing as you can see!
E was doing a great job of scaling the climbing frame. She's like a little monkey and can scramble to the top in next to no time.
Dad played with J on the see-saw - I'm not sure which of them was having more fun, hehehe!
And poor old me had to stay tied up outside as no dogs are allowed in the park, sniff sniff.
I'm a poor abandoned puppy, boo hoo!
OK, so I was only tied for about 5 minutes. The rest of the time I was running around with either mum or dad and jumping in and out of the stream, so I'm not that hard done by really. But still, I would really have liked to try out that climbing frame!
We have some new additions to the family at home, so I'll tell you more about that next time!

Oscar buddy,
You made the cut. Duuuuude!
Poor Oscar sitting under the hot sun. But glad you had lots of fun!
New additions? Can't wait to see them!
Snuggle,
Precious
Oh my gosh, you do look abandoned. Bad bad hoomans! Not fully their fault tho coz the rules did state down that no cute doggies are allowed. In Malaysia, no dogs are allowed in ANY park. How selfish can they be...? Hhhhmmmpfff! The only time we can run loose is late at night where it's dark & no one's there. Heeeheee... We're sneaky doggies but what to do!? Luckily in white countries like yours, you have doggie parks. Malaysia don't even have one. None even for cats!
Love licks,
Solid Gold Dancer
You looked so sad in that photo Oscar :( Glad your parents wised up and started to play with you. Glad you had fun at agility...I can wait to hear more about it next week and hopefully see some pictures!
Lots of Licks, Ruby
oh poor oscar, i bet you would be a good partner for the girls to play in the play ground. they seem like needing a dog instead of hooman companion! heheheh.
wet wet licks
Boo

Yay for Airegility! Hopefully your mum can go with you next time. Looks like a fun weekend for you. Its rained and rained and rained some more here so no agility and no fun. Poor Moxie.
Something else you can try to help Oscar know here his back feet are is to lay a ladder on the ground and teach him to walk over it, or you can do some cavaletti work (I forgot, are you a horse person?)But a ladder works about the same as caveletti.
I'm having to teach Moxie to walk backwards for Rally. The trick is to hold the treat low to keep his but up and keep him from sitting. Practice with him up against a wall to keep him from backing up in circles. When he walks straight backward he is using "four wheel drive" so to speak. Backing in circles the front paws are driving.
You look awfully well behaved when you are tied up Oscar.
I don't think I would have been so good.
Ruffs,
Pippa
Oscar... I hate that you did not get to go in that fun park. Was there a guard on duty? Maybe you should wear a biped costume next time so you can get in???
Hugs,
Sitka
Aw Oscar, you look so sad out there all by yourself!
New additions??? We can't wait to hear all about 'em!
Sherman, Penny & Lola

Hey Oscar,
Your family had great fun at the park huh? :)
And please tell us more about the new additions!!!
Hey Oscar,
Do you think a three legged dog could do agility training? Snickers is pretty good at chasing bunnies.
Snickers and Sharon
I will never understand this "no dogs allowed" thing. Ever.
Love,

Hi Oscar, Good job with the comic relief (thorny stems)!
Licks,
Nugget
oh dear...ur dad r too mean..
u got tied up while he's enjoying himself @ d park...!!
You are soo talented Oscar! agility! walking backwards? I haven't even mastered walking forwards heheheheheh
those hooman puppies sure are cute, I would have loved to see a picture of you on the other end of the see saw, stoopid rules, leaving a bootiful ,well behaved puppy to sit sadly outside..I'm glad it wasn't too long.
What's this tempting throw-away line about new additions, you certainly got everyones attention.
lots of smoochie kisses
Asta
New additions? That sounds ominous....
Very sad that you weren't allowed in the park. At least you got to try out all the new agility stuff!
Wow, looks like ur dad was having loads of fun. How can he leave u there to envy him!
Love,
Reina
Hi there Oscar! These are just a few words for your Mum, Katy from me, Jeannie!
Thank you Katy for your kind and lovely comments on my Blog today, they were much appreciated. I was so sorry to hear about your Dad, so young too, what a shame. And I know exactly what you mean about "forgetting" - I often experience or see something, and think automatically, "oh wait till I tell Dad", then I remember :0(
Many Hugs to you too down in Bonnie Swindon, and thank you again for your words.
love and light Jeannie xxxxxx
Hey Oscar
That's not fair you couldn't play on the swings.
Where we live is getting less and less dog friendly every day. It's just not right !!!
Love from Hammer
Walking backwards is hard! I can do it but I don't like it! Sounds like you had fun at your agility course. Look forward to seeing photos... Jx
Oscar!!
You are the DOG, dog! It's amazing how tuned in you are to the hooman pups and how easily you could make them smile.
My girl would love for me to be able to hang out with such a good boy as you.
As for the new additions... are they edible, playable, or trainable?
Goob love to you, man.
