Me & My Stick

When I posted the other day about the spring flowers & blossoms around my neighbourhood, I told you about my special sticky that I keep hidden in the undergrowth. Now I know some of you might have been a bit dubious about this, so mum decided to video me out on my walks the last couple of days so you can see for yourselves.

I am very good at walking along to heel with mum or dad unless I need to go to pee pee or poop, but I know the exact spot where my sticky is hidden & as we approach I have to drag whoever's walking me over to my hiding spot so I can have a little chew-chew.

This was my walk yesterday afternoon.

And this was my walk this morning. Don't laugh at my inside out ear - it was windy, OK?

As you can see, I make myself nice & comfy so I can have a good old chew.

I don't know what I am going to do when sticky is all gone, or if - doG forbid, some other pooch pinches it. It will be a sad, sad day.

My ear flips back like that sometimes. Mom is forever flipping it back where it belongs! I think it's neat that you have your own special stick!

Love ya lots,
Maggie

Bisous mon Oscar

U R such a smart little doggie. I too can remember where all the kitties are hiding in the park.

Sadly, I'm not on broadband so can't enjoy your film shows but thought you looked very handsome despite the 'lambs-tale' earings...

Oh Oscar, you're so cute and polite! I drag every stick I find back home... even when we "bring one from home" out on each walk!

I wish I could trust my neighborhood enough to place a special stick somewhere outta sight! You're mum is so nice to let you have a little walkie break just for some chew time! Wow!

Cool stick! I wish I had one. You walk so nicely, too. I'm just learning how to do that. Maybe I'll look for a sticky on my next walk!

You are a clever dog...keeping your stick hidden like that...in that great camo of bushes!

Oscar, you seem to be good at hiding the stick so don't worry about other doggies. Just don't pee on the stick cuz doggies will smell it and find it.

it is very nice of your mom to just wait while you spend the time chewing on your stick!

Oscar, you are a very special boy with your sticky. Thats one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

I hope no other doggie steals your stick. I like sticks but Mummy takes them away from me. She should learn to find her own.

Hi Oscar,
Heheh.. your ear's so cute!! Hmm.. why don't you hide your special stick at home?
(Oscar's mum - I hope you are not reading this..)

Fufu - Thanks, you ears are cuter though

Boo - Oh yeah, I never thought of that, blush!

Maggie - When both my ears do it, mum & dad call me "Bat Boy"!

Faya - Merci!

Jaffeboy - I'm not allowed to chase kitties, especially my sister fat Flakes

Blue - Eek, I do look a bit like I have earrings!

Bogart - Yeah, I have seen photos & film of you carrying BIG sticks home

Marvin - But not as much as rabbits, eh?

Liberty - Let's just say I have mum wrapped around my (not so) little paw

Jasper - I need some camoflauge gear so no-one can see me hiding there either

Butchy & Snickers - Cool, I'll take a BIG stick & some hickory nuts please

Chelsea - Oooh, I would NEVER pee on my special sticky

Joey - Yeah, my mum is great

Rachael - You'll make me big headed

Simba - Hehehehe!

Huskee - I tend to shred them into little bits all over the floor, so I'm not allowed sticky at home, sigh

Sorry, I forgot you Suki. To teach me to walk nicely, she used to hold a treat in her right hand close to her chest, & have me on her left on my leash. I would be able to smell the treat, so would trot along beside her hoping to get it. She would give me a treat when I was walking along on a loose leash & say "good heel". Mum might need to hold a treat lower for you as you are teeny.

Hey Oscar, And they say dogs don't hae memories. Rubbish! I remember where every tennis ball I ever lost is.

Maybe hidden sticks are a boy thing. The boyz at my house have sticks hidden all over the yard and they go and find them. I think it's boring, but to each his own. My ear does that inside out sometimes too (not my sticking-up ear, but the other one)

See ya

Hey Oscar!!
That trick with the stick is good - I did the same with a bone at Christmas, and it was there when I went back!
Thanks for your good wishes over at my blog, I will make sure to write about my birthday celebrations
